If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us.</p> <ul> <li>Taking ownership and driving impact </li> <li>Being open to change and feedback</li> <li>Being passionate about our mission and our customers. </li> </ul></div><h3 class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Your Mission</strong></h3> <div class="p-rich_text_section">We are seeking an experienced Senior Expert in Preowned Jewellery (Branded and Unbranded) to support our team of experts and jewellery sellers in Italy, contributing to the growth of Catawiki’s Jewellery auctions.</div> <h3 class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet p-rich_text_list--nested" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">As a Catawiki expert, you will use your specialist knowledge, to be responsible for creating attractive auctions by evaluating and arranging lots submitted by our sellers.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Balanced with your knowledge and experience of the trade, you will review the lot titles, descriptions, pictures, and provide users with an estimated and realistic value based on this information.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">One of our main focuses is to keep user transactions as transparent and fair as possible, and your expertise and experience play a large part in maintaining this standard. We pride ourselves on being a unique, interactive platform so a professional, polite and courteous approach with our sellers is an absolutely essential attribute. Your efforts result in exceptional auctions that bidders will find irresistible.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">To keep your own auctions attracting bidders, you will be regularly working with our sales department, to recruit and develop new sellers and diversify the selection of lots offered in your auctions.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Finally, you’ll also be working together with our marketing department to generate an increase of potential bidder attention at your auction.</li> </ul> <div class="p-rich_text_section"> <h3><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></h3> </div> <ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet p-rich_text_list--nested" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">A Gemmology Diploma from one of the schools recognised by the FEEG or GIA;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">5–10 years’ experience </strong>in the jewellery, diamonds or precious stones trade with knowledge of the market and the ability to perform gemmological and authentication tests;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Project management capabilities, with proven experience partnering closely with other cross-functional teams to drive complex initiatives;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Good grasp of market prices and understanding of jewellery second-hand market and B2B and B2C jewellery market dynamics;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Experience in appraising and assessing jewellery;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Extensive trade knowledge with a network of potential sellers and experts in your field;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">A real team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Proficiency in computer tools used for data analysis, reporting and presentations For example Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">The diplomatic competence needed to act as a mediator in disputes between users;</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Fluent English language skills; Italian is a plus.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Where You’ll Be</strong></h3> <p> This is a 100% remote role based in Italy.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="text text-align-left "> <h3><strong>Why You'll Love Working with Us</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Create a visible impact </strong>by working at scale in a global organisation serving millions of customers across 80+ categories.
